首先，題目要我們用4.2的變形來開始，原本長這樣：
因為現在是合金，所以用混和的角度來看，將密度改成平均密度，原子量改成平均原子量，上述兩者可以在4.4找到公式使用。
變形後長這樣：

使用這兩種形式的理由是，可以將分子消掉，變得比較簡潔。
代入後應該會變成下面這樣，其中我們將把C2'用1-C1'來替換：
我們目標要算出的是C1，根據下式我們知道，想要求出C1就需要C1'，而C1'可以從剛剛算出的N推。
N1可以視為N根據數量濃度來分配，也就是N1 = C1'*N，於是我們寫出下式：
將分母移過去和N1相乘，並把包含C1'的項式分到一邊，整理後變成下式：
將上面的C1'代入C1公式裡面，將會如下式：
